Do you often judge yourself & others?
If you’ve been following along these last few weeks, I’ve been sharing how going inward and understanding your true self can lead you to #BeHappyGetResults. Self-awareness helps define what makes you happy and take action toward your goals. More specifically, better understanding your thoughts & emotions is an important part of your discovery process as they impact your behavior and ultimately results.
To help understand and regulate your thoughts and emotions, practice present moment awareness (PMA). You’ll identify thoughts and emotions and process them in the moment versus letting them take over. Eventually, you’ll stop feeling paralyzed so that you can take more action. The key is to notice your thoughts and emotions without judgement. This approach of noticing and accepting can help you access your most empowering self.
How to be more accepting?
After you’ve accepted your thoughts and emotions, you can better re-frame your thoughts into positive sentiments and experience your feelings (versus repressing them). They won’t be as scary. And, the more accepting you are of yourself, the more open you can be toward others. When you stop seeing yourself as separate, you’ll connect more easily and have the support you need to move forward. Try it! I promise it works:-)
