Go from hiding to thriving…
Did I tell you that I recently changed my name? It’s now “Rosa/Knock Loud” Guagliardo. 🙂 Ok, my name change is only for the delivery service my building uses now. But, I can’t believe how open I am about my hearing loss these days. I even had a friend introduce me to his friend as “This is Rosie. She wears hearing aids.” I’m always happy to share about my hearing loss, the journey to finding the best hearing aids for me, and how you can help loved ones.
I wanted to share this article from Forbes about hearing loss. It has crazy stats. And, it explains the issues if hearing loss goes untreated – economically, physically, mentally, and socially – for individuals and society. If you think someone you know and love has hearing loss, please read this useful article. Plus, I’m quoted in it;-) It features the chief audiology officer at GN Hearing which manufactures and supplies the hearing aids I use—Resound Linx Quattro —and I love them!
So, they reached out to me to share my experience. This is a “pinch-me-moment” as I set an intention years ago to create awareness about hearing loss and solutions. Being able to share in a major online publication is beyond what I thought would happen. So grateful. And, I can’t imagine what my Dad and Nonno (who both had this type of hearing loss) would think of their daughter/granddaughter and this mission now.
