Food is Medicine
I know this, I have lived this, and one important human being has helped me fully understand this.
It began my research on this topic when I was 29, newly divorced, and had a pivotal moment in my life… I realized that I was the one responsible for my happiness.
And so, I set out on a path to explore what mattered most to me and what would make me happy. For me, it all came down to having the energy I needed to live a life of limitless potential.
Some of my Italian relatives lived to be in their mid to late 90’s and while I didn’t think I could replicate their lifestyle exactly, I knew I wanted to get better quality sleep, move more, and consume natural and clean foods.
I figured out what I consumed could either give me or drain my energy. The choice seemed obvious.
I spent 10 years trying to figure it out on my own. But, I needed help to take my wellness to the next level. And, I didn’t want to have to treat some disease down the road, I wanted to prevent disease and I knew these basics were key to preventing disease.
So, I searched out an integrative medicine doctor who has helped me heal various physical small ailments and revitalize my energy. These days I have more energy in my 40’s than I ever did in my 20’s.
